PTGui has more professional settings and the software is more suitble for professional. It is resource- and time-efficient, and makes for a fast, high-end panorama. Its feature set makes creating spherical panoramas simple and straightforward. Kolor was purchased by GoPro in 2017 which helped lower the software’s price and boost its features. I posted a couple of questions - that pushed the envelope, and the developers (along with some expert users) answered very quickly with some creative solutions. For stitching work, Kolor's Autopano Video Pro and Autopano Giga were used. Autopano from Kolor is an extremely powerful image, advanced image stitching program. I will say that PTGui is extremely supportive. Autopano from Kolor is an extremely powerful image, advanced image stitching program. ![]() It would have been really nice to have PTGui pick up the frontend UI engineers for Autopano and create the best of both. Kolor Autopano: Create A Panorama with Autopano Pro/Giga. I also do linear panoramas (along with shift lens panos), which was pushing both Autopano and PTGui. There are simply more professional-level. I do milky way stitching and compositing - which pushes the technical envelope in a lot of different ways. While this is a direct review of Autopano Giga, Autopano Pro is uses the same stitching engine and user-interface. For many years I waffled between Autopano and PTGui - until GoPro knifed Autopano.
